IT Analyst – Desktop/Network Support – Level I

Job Description:
You will provide and be responsible for the hands-on administration of day-to-day network operations for a network of approximately 100 employees spread throughout Latin America. You will provide recommendations and insight on our IT operations and strategy. This job requires the ability and desire to learn new technologies rapidly on the job as well as being dependable and self sufficient.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Primary
- Install, upgrade, configure, maintain and support desktop/server hardware and software;
- Monitor and maintain desktop/network stability;
- Troubleshoot desktop/network to identify and resolve any issues;
- Configure/ Administer email system comprised of Lotus Notes clients ;
- Work with team to solve daily and long-term Help Desk issues;
- Work with immediate supervisor and other team members on special projects that entail value creation for the firm's IT systems.
- Maintain Software/Hardware Inventories.
Secondary
- Expand knowledge of existing systems within the corporate framework;
- Take on added responsibility to manage new systems – when time permits;
- Identify trends or potential points of failure of interrelated systems and submit solutions;
- Maintain and implement network backup and disaster recovery procedures;
- Submit weekly status report to Regional MIS Manager;
- Participate in weekly MIS meeting.
- Occasional overtime
Required Skills
- 4-6 years hands on network administration in a Microsoft network environment 2-3 years configuring/ administering Lotus Notes;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with users at all levels;
- Must work exceptionally well in team-oriented problem solving setting;
- MCP or associate's degree in a related technical field – relevant experience may be substituted;
- Ability to meet or exceed deadlines set by immediate supervisor;
Preferred
- Understanding of Virtual Private Networking in a Cisco environment;
- Project Management experience.
- Experience with Cisco IOS
- Experience with Active Directory in Windows 2000/2003 environment
- Experience with Wireless Technologies
